In today's scenario where break ups take place even before you opt for a second meeting; it is really difficult to answer the question whether someone is really 'The One'. This concept of being the perfect match or soul mate as to put it is hard to define since it varies from person to person. A relationship starts following the laws of attraction and tends to gets serious with time when the people in love start spending time with each other. Thus, it might take years to understand whether he/she really is 'The One'. Things get really tricky when it comes to the matters of a life long commitment as marriage. It is then that a little bit of uncertainty shakes the relationship. In such circumstances, it is better to ask yourself whether the person who is the special someone in your life is really the person of your dreams? Does he/she have the qualities that you would like to have in your partner?

There is no proper guide which can provide you with the answer. But at times we are unaware of our inner voice- the voice of our conscience, our self. This is what leads you on your quest of searching 'The One' for yourself. Look within and ask these questions to yourself rather than listening to the world. You will easily seek the answer.

· You share everything with each other and know all the little secrets.

· If you are mentally compatible.

· Accept each other as you are and do not try to change for the sake of the relationship.

· You feel comfortable in his/her presence.

· He/she introduces you to his/her family members, close friends and colleagues.

· He/she has the ability to understand you, can adjust and accept your family and has the commitment to bring up a family.

· Has the maturity to handle complex matters related to life and family.

· Will stand by you in all ups and downs of life.

· Will love you and care for you and stand up for you in times of need.

· Gives importance to you as an individual respects you and not your financial standing.

· If you are socially compatible and you are confident that your family members will approve of your choice.

· If you miss him/her in his/her absence.

· If he/she respects your private space and does not tend to get possessive.

· If there is flexibility and trust in the relationship.

· You can speak your mind before him/her thinking what he/she will mind. He/she becomes your best friend.

· If he/she accepts your flaws as much as your positive qualities.

· If he/she makes you feel emotionally secured.

· He/she is a companion in your sorrows as much as in your moments of celebration.

· Takes care and gives importance to the little things that make you happy.

· You choose him/her on the basis of his/her personality and qualities, not just physical appearance.

Above all, listen to what your heart says. Don't base your notions of love on romantic movies and novels. For a relationship to exist for a lifetime, test a relationship and then give the nod to him/her to take your heart away for eternity.
