Spending time in your garden doesn't only mean standing in your garden, or sitting on a chair in your garden, it also means being in your garden shed, working on something or just sitting and relaxing while waiting for the rain to stop falling. Even windowless garden sheds are sometimes good enough to spend time in, but windowed sheds are what you need when working on something, during the day at least. A windowed garden shed can be used as a guest house, for example when a celebrity comes to town and all the journalists overflow all the rooms for rent in your area, and you don't want a journalist in your house, you don't know where he's been. Or it can be a place to keep your pets in, if you don't want them around the house for health reasons. It can also be a place for your tools and things you don't have place for in your house. If you get one large enough to have a bed in, it can accommodate more than just journalists and backpackers with their own sleeping bags, it can accommodate you when you need a place to work in or a place to sleep in when the house is unavailable because there is a celebration, remodeling or pest control in it.

If you plan to frequently have your house unavailable for sleeping, you should get a garden shed with windows and a little more room, to be able to move furniture in it and sleep, if you have a lot of kids this could be the answer for birthdays, for you or for the birthday guests. If they break something, they would have only broken the shed and not the house. It is important you keep your tools locked up if you plan on letting your children use your garden shed. Also be aware it will require some maintenance to be suitable for living in, especially for children. Get a garden shed and let it become everyone's new favourite place! Then you can have the living room and bedroom back to yourself!
