Tybee Island, Georgia is a small beach community 20 miles East of historic Savannah, Georgia. The island offers 3 miles of pristine beachfront. Tybee is a laid back, relaxed community without the resort feel but still many of the same amenities. It is filled with small hotels, quaint bed & breakfasts, and vacation rental homes and cottages.

Nearby attractions are Fort Screven, The Tybee Island Lighthouse (dated 1773), a museum, and Fort Pulaski. The Tybee Island pier offers great fishing and views! Access to the pier is complimentary and it is open daily. Visitors will find various festivals and events on the pier throughout the year.

Tybee Island is a haven for nature lovers. Visitors can find birding and nature trails as well as dolphin tours. A great way to see the area is by water, in a sea kayak. Kayaks allow visitors to quietly view wildlife in their natural setting.

The island is a great destination for weekend getaways and family vacations whether visitors want to relax on the beach, view the area's history, or join one of the nature tours.
