Whilst relaxing on vacation, who wouldn’t occasionally appreciate the opportunity to grab a quick sandwich in ones pyjamas at leisure, rather than having to get dressed and visit a crowded hotel restaurant, or venture into the wider world in search of sustenance? In particular, it is the traveller who has children who benefits from the convenience of the self catering holiday.
Family holidays are often improved immeasurably by the convenience and flexibility which the self catering option provides. Consider a typical Holiday in France, with a Family with twin infant children and an older child with food allergies. A package holiday to a resort destination would necessitate the provision of special catering arrangements to accommodate one child’s special dietary requirements, whilst sterilizing and preparing bottles for the babies in a hotel room throws up many problems of their own. Simply choosing the self catering option solves all of these problems in one fell swoop, and allows the whole family to enjoy the variety and benefits of locally bought and sourced produce, with many of the conveniences of home. With a little forethought, Self catering holidays can be enjoyed all the more. Whilst travelling to your destination by aeroplane might restrict the quantity of provisions you can bring with you, one can always find room for a few staples in even the smallest of suitcases. Why not take some of your favourite brand of Tea or Coffee with you? You need not take a full retail sized package with you – small amounts of eg. Powdered coffee could be taken in a Tupperware container, or even a sealed plastic bag. Standards of accommodation can vary wildly however, and equipment provided can often leave a lot to be desired.
