Being served and cared for is a posh trend of the past. Why would you pay for everyone to remain immobile, and then some extra just for some activities, in order for everyone not to get ill from constant sitting and sleeping. Walking around new and exciting cities and exploring it's famous and less famous streets may seem healthier, but even that isn't recommended in larger cities healthwise because of all the pollution. No, those forms of holidays are all way more flawed and have less value than having a self catering holiday in the nature with your family. Of course, you need to bring along everything you will need for the period of time you will spend in the exciting surroundings you carefully pick out.

Having somewhere to sleep and rest is the first thing you should provide, and if you choose a camping house instead of bringing along your own tent or caravan, you should make sure the conditions it provides are satisfactory prior to getting everyone there. If you opt for a tent, make sure you know how to put it up, and take care not to construct it over moist terrain, for that is the part of the terrain all the water goes to after it rains. You should take extra time and care to choose the location for camping, it is what makes the atmosphere and value of the entire trip. A mountain site with many surrounding paths and beauty, along a clean, or even better drinkable mountain stream is the perfect setting for people to come closer together. Sitting around a camp fire and preparing food (which you shouldn't forget to bring along enough of), and going on exciting forest exploration trips, to finally meet all of the woodling creatures you forgot exist in the mind numbing everyday noise of city life.

A camping holiday is about reconnecting to yourself and the nature, it is the waking call for all truly human sentiments locked away inside, it is the trip to reconstitute true values, love and respect within everyone. It is more affordable and more useful than other types of holidays, it is what you and your family need. Camping is where a family comes together. And coming together with yourselves and with the nature is all you need to be alive and not alone.
