The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is one of the many national trails within Britain. There are fifteen within England and Wales and they are some of the best trails you could imagine walking on. Wales has three national trails, The Pembrokeshire Coast Path, Offas Dyke and Glyndwrs Way. What is best about the Pembrokeshire Coast Path is that you pass such a cariety of landscapes as you travel your way along it. You will see steep limestone cliffs, red sandstone bays and volcanic headlands as well as flooded glacial valleys. There are some quaint, nostalgic and beautiful villages to stop and explore rest, recuperate, eat and refresh yourself before getting back to the path again. Stopping along these villages will not only give you a nice respite, it will also reset your mind and emotions so you can get back to witnessing some of the most spectacular views you are likely to ever see. Don't let the length of The Coast Path put you off, if you get too tired, there is always the year round Coastal Bus Service that is designed specifically with walkers in mind. You can travel down the coast a few miles by bus while letting your feet and legs rest, then you have the choice of hopping back out and getting back to walking. You don't have to fear walking to exhaustion and being stuck in the middle of no-where. There are also many smaller, circular type walks; The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park has 130 of them so you can also choose to enjoy the sights and sounds of a smaller, more manageable area.
If you'd like to take a walk along the breakwater, there are several activity operators that can help you with Celtic Diving and also Mike Maybury Kayaking. If you would like to keep your feet on the ground, there is also a children's discovery center called Ocean Lab, this attraction incorporates a Tourist Information Center, as well as a Café and art gallery within a quaint cottage at the northern end of the beach.
