Country clubs would seem like a very snobbish place with all the high and mighty personalities. Nevertheless, do not be intimidated. Joining country clubs does not mean that you would be one of those stuck-up rich people. Do not stereotype. You are there to learn anyways. It might be a bit pricey but it will be worth the experience of being around an arrogant group. This will help you adjust with different kinds of characters.

Teaching One's Self

Get books, videos and watch games about golf. Try to imitate professional golfers. Talk to people who are in this field and try to understand and enjoy the conversation. At first it will be hard, especially with all the terms you have to familiarize. But once you already know how to play and people will know that you taught yourself, you should leave them in awe.
