Bingo is a great, simply played game which can often be found on online casino sites. Often used for gambling, bingo is a game where participants try to pair up picked numbers to the numbers on their 5 x 5 square bingo card grid. It is estimated that 5.52×1026 combinations are available on a single bingo card. The original name of the game was “beano” when played at rural fairs in the US using beans to mark the cards, yet it can be found as early as 1530 in Italy in the form of a lottery by the name of “Lo Giuco del Lotto D’Italia”. From Italy, the game was introduced to the French in the late 1770s and soon it made its entrance into Germany’s culture as a teaching tool for children. Though traditionally, a player creates a single vertical, horizontal or diagonal line on his card to win, wins can be made meeting any set design or pattern as stated by the caller prior to the game’s start. It was not until 1929 that Americans began to play “beano” which then, by a happenstance yelling of the word “bingo” in place of “beano”, became the very popular game we know of today as “bingo”.
Once a player completes the pattern, he either presses a button or shouts out the he has “bingo” in order to claim his winnings. While technology has evolved, so has this simple child’s game. It is now played worldwide in small groups in homes to hundreds of contestants in bingo halls and, of course, on the internet. Each setting offers its own pros and cons. For instance, playing bingo online offers quick and easy play and also the possibility to chat to other players in the chat feature. Just as a side note here: it is courteous that you don’t carry a conversation or allow your cell phone to ring during active play in a bingo hall. Since many experienced players with be marking several cards at a time, the caller or blower will have displayed called numbers either on a television screen or some other easily visible board. Since you can always play just a single card if you wish, it is certainly appropriate to assume that there is a bingo game out there for everyone.
