There are a lot of online communities and social networks where people can find advice and get information about any personal or various general topics. However among all these websites, I believe question and answer websites are worth the time as it is much easier and faster to retrieve the exact information you require for any of your questions. Moreover the answers are provided by the real people who have been through such experiences before and can provide practical solution to all your problems and questions.

If you want to choose a question and answer website that you can spend your time on, you got to search which one you find more comfortable using in. I have to almost all the websites but in my view there are definitely some places that can help and some that just hinder. Here are a few tips that can help you choose among various top question and answer websites:-

1. Start with a search engine: To start with your finding, its better to first take your problem to Google. Ask your question directly to the search engine by typing in the search bar and see if a site like Yahoo Answers, Wiki answers or Answerbag come up in the top ten results.

2. Make sure you are spelling all of the words right: Many searches for knowledge end on bad grammar or misspellings.

3. Avoid words in questions that are sexually explicit: You won't really get good results by using keywords that could be explicit.

4. Try out the sites that you may not have found and do an internal search on that site to see if someone already asked your question. There are many other website also except Yahoo Answers, Wiki Answers etc but they are a little harder to use and navigate. However the cream of questions and answers will still be on these websites as they are the enjoy millions of traffic.

5. Add as much detail as you can. The more detail you have in a question or situation the better the answer.
