Remember when people used to get a job with a company while they were in their twenties and then twenty-five or thirty years later, they retired from that same company? They usually departed with a pension and gold watch. That employee was loyal to the company; and likewise, the company was loyal to their employees. Times have drastically changed.

There will never cease to be a need for shops, stores, boutiques and restaurants. Additionally, there are numbers of extremely lucrative franchises to be had.

On the other hand, there are business opportunities in abundance on the Internet. Ways to earn money through online businesses have never been more plentiful. Most of them take minimal investment; and of course it means working from home. Not everything in the field of Internet marketing comes with a big price tag. Contrary to much of the hype, there are ways to earn on the net with little to no outlay.

Compare that to a typical franchise which may require capital of 20k and up just to open the doors. Add to that the fact that profit may not be seen for three to five years.

Starting a business on the internet means you have instant customers and ready cash flow. Your online money-making business can never be considered local. The planet is your marketplace.
