Replacement Windows Are not to Be Feared

I am constantly regaled with horror stories of the do-it-yourselfer who ended up destroying his home attempting to install replacement windows. Although I don't doubt that at some point in time, this story might have been true. There may have been the odd few who were so ignorant as to not be able to read simple written instructions and follow directions.
And I do absolutely believe there are people who should never ever pick up a tool of any kind as injury to themselves or others could occur. But those people are few and far between, and usually, no offence intended, they know who they are and I respect that.
And when it comes to replacement windows, there really are only two ways. DIY or pay someone to do it. Many people either feel that they don't have the skills to do a competent job or lack the time to devote to such a project. And still others have the luxury of being able to afford top quality profession installers and my hat is off to them all. But for the rest of us, its call the best friends we have, break out the tools and prepare to get dirty, as the only way we get new windows is to do it ourselves.
If you are one of those who are still on the fence and haven't decided if you are up to the task, you might want to check out the DIY section on the website below to get a bit of a heads up, and some helpful information for anyone planning a new replacement window project.
Just remember, its not about how fast the job gets done, but how well it gets done. If you are a light duty do-it-yourselfer, then hiring a professional for a large window project carries no shame. There have been times, when I was knee deep in a project when I wished I had hired a pro. Make no mistake, the jobs got done in a professional manner, to a high standard of quality. But there were times when no one at home wanted to help, and I was all alone trying my best to get the job done, feeling like it was too much for me.
