Before the rain actually enters into it however it will pass through a mesh filter. This then remains here until it is needed for various tasks. So what happens when it becomes full? In this case the remaining rain is then simply diverted back to the drain thanks to the overflow kicking in.

If you choose to use your rain water tanks on your garden then the contents of it is merely fed into various parts of the garden. If however you use it for aspects within the home this is done by using a pressure pump, making it easy to use the contents for aspects such as flushing your toilet.

In many countries these tanks are used, in some countries they are used that much that new houses are being built with them included, an example of this can be seen in parts of Australia. In cases such as this they not only help your water consumption but they also boost your homes energy rating, which could increase its value.

The advantages of these systems are clear to see and with what they can do for your home as well as your water consumption it comes as no surprise that more and more people are opting to have them installed.
