Before going out and having a gift engraved take a while to determine what style of engraving you feel will have the greatest impact on the recipient of your gift. There are many styles of engraving and they range from light details to accentuate the design of a locket to ornate designs that become the focal point of silver pillboxes.
The most personal of engravings will be ones that leave a lasting message of love. Text engraving is the most popular style of engraving and has become common with wedding and engagement rings. Most rings that you look at will have something scribed on the inside of the band to express love and admiration.

For example, purchasing a silver pillbox for a grandparent and inscribing something that comforts them is a great way to show them that you care and it will become a powerful tool of remembrance in the future that will mean more to you than any monetary value that you may have invested in that pillbox. As you can see a simple thing like thoughtful engravable gifts aimed at enhancing the beautify of a piece of jewelry or a decorative box can have a powerful and long lasting imprint on a loved one.
It can also be used to help love blossom with a heart felt engraving on a heart shaped or oval locket. This is a very time honored way to show that special person that you cannot live without them. Engraved sterling silver lockets have been passed down from generation to generation and have become an imbedded part of many different cultures around the world. You may already have a family heirloom passed down from a parent or grandparent that has been engraved with a message of love that’s lasted for hundreds of years.
