In a year, we spend most days doing the same kind of things that it's almost a routine. Then voila! It's Halloween time once again. There you are thinking of a new costume but just doesn't have that much time to contemplate on it. So your mind takes you to the favorite characters that have become usual sights during Halloween. There are the typical wholesome fairy tale princesses, wicked witches, eye-patched pirates, etc. that has become a custom. Why think wrongly about following the custom? Bear in mind that custom is never untimely and unsuitable. That's why they've become favorites by everyone be it children or adults.

There are many reasons why we should choose to go on with this tradition. First, because it's something we can easily relate to. Children would find it perfect and comfortable while adults find it dependable. Secondly, these characters are very easy to find and put together. Most costumes can easily be found in shops while others can be tacked together from your cabinet. But these are not reasons to look ordinary. There are things you can do to dress up traditionally but appear strikingly attractive. Here are some of the best tips for you.

Add some more accessories to your costume. It may be something minor but it definitely can create a big difference on your overall appearance. So, if you're dressing up as a pirate, why not carry a parrot with you? If you're playing nurse, bring with you a clipboard.

Throw a gimmick. If you're Cinderella, wear the usual ball dress but make it a little short so that people can see you're only wearing one shoe. This would make you look like you forgot your other shoe somewhere and that the prince charming is still searching for you.

Attend the party as a pair. Dress up with a friend as Batman and Robin; as a pair of dice; as Snow White and a dwarf.

Dress only in half a portion. This could mean a lot of work but a guarantee for fun. Wear the appearance of a man on your right side and of a woman on your left. To do this, just get your old jeans and cut it in half. Do the same thing to an old skirt. Then wear them accordingly with a boot and a ladies' shoe on the other. Put on make up on one side and none on the other. If it helps, don on a wig, too.
