As the sole product for a web hosting provider there are some issues with PHP that cannot go unnoticed. The fact that is is a very simple language to use and is adapted from PERL and C languages is what makes it desirable and also what makes it less than attractive for more knowledgeable customers.
However, this simplicity creates a more limited capability than either PERL or C. In addition, PHP is not as consistent as PERL or C which some web designers feel make it an excellent language for basic websites, but less effective for complex and detailed websites requiring data summary and collection in multiple formats.
Many designers and developers begin their businesses using PHP. The twenty million websites currently in place must have PHP services provided. For that reason, including PHP hosting as a plan among the many that are offered is a profitable and wise choice. But, a person must also consider the other issues that are inherent in PHP hosting.
PHP allows data to be input by hackers. It does not have a detection process to stop this and hackers can create multiple programs for website designers, developers, and owners. Another issue is that the program has thousands of commands that must be learned in order for the program to function properly. As a provider of this plan an individual would have to be able to help customers navigate the program and work through the commands.
