Spring is the end of winter. Many flowering plants bloom this time of year. Spring is seen as a time of growth, renewal of new life both plant and animal being born. It is used generally as a metaphor for the start of better times.
Spring also brings in various festivals across the globe. We just had Easter. India holds its Rangoli Bihu (Spring New Year) this time of the year. Spring in New Orleans means the Jazz Fest and the French Quarter Festival. When the month of May arrives, May 1 is the date of several holidays celebrated in many countries.
There may be others who hate spring because of the unstable weather. It is also this time of the year animal rights activists is extremely active due to the beginning of kitten season. But don’t let spring rains ruin your fun. Here are some places traders may choose to enjoy during spring time.
Sydney, Australia
Spring in the US is equivalent to fall in Australia and at this season, they celebrate the National Trust Festival, a celebration of Australia’s natural and cultural heritage. During the day, you can take a commuter ferry to see the iconic Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House, stroll through the Royal Botanic Gardens or get cuddly at the Koala Park Sanctuary.
San Diego, CA
Gray whales visit the coastlines of San Diego in spring. With an average temperature of 66 degrees, you will feel comfortable visiting the marina and San Diego Zoo. Since you’re already in town, you might as well explore the history and culture of Old Town.
Luxor, Egypt
Egypt! One of the most visited places in the world, thanks to the ancient tombs and pyramids. Venture the Karnak Temple or cool in the breeze that fills the sail of a traditional wooden boat on the Nile. Or perhaps celebrate the spring equinox on a "Stargate" tour in Luxor, where you can stand among ancient masterpieces of stonework in the Valley of the Kings.
Paris, France
May is the perfect month to visit Paris when the temperature goes up to 66 degrees. Stroll by the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, the notorious Cemetiere du Pere-Lachaise or the Jardin des Tuilleries, where spring practically bursts.
Singapore
While in the island country, take advantage of late sunsets, warm evenings averaging in the mid-70s and little rainfall. This warm temperature calls for a visit to the Singapore Botanic Gardens, the Jurong Bird Park, and the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve.
