Many times our online business is harder than it needs to be. usually this results because of a lack of one thing.
FOCUS!
If you run around all day long like a chicken with your head cut off you are not going to be productive and you are not going to be focused on what you should be doing.
When you analyze successful internet businesses you will see that they run their business with a very clear focus on what they want to accomplish. Then they put blinders on and do it. Running your online business any other way will only result in chaos and lost productivity.
So how do you get the focus you need? You write down your goals and read them everyday. You set achievable goals and then you break them down to a daily basis. Then you do one more thing.
You Prioritize!
Being able to decipher what is important and must get done is one of the main keys to running a successful online business. Not only writing them down, but then reading and doing them.
The magic of writing a daily to do list is it gets you in motion and starts you accomplishing things on your list. This is very powerful and will drive you to finish your list if at all possible. As long as you set realistic goals there is no reason you can not hit them.
Now when someone pops in and wants to go out for coffee you can show them your list and why you have to work. When an old friend calls on the phone you can let it go to answering service because talking to them is not an action item.
You will become more productive online throughout the day as well. If you are one of these people who can get off on a tangent or end up surfing aimlessly then a daily to do list and a goal sheet is a must for you. Otherwise you will find your business running you instead of vice versa.
Do not take this advice lightly. People who make a lot more money than you have mastered running an online business and they know who is in charge everyday of the week!
