Many women especially those who are not blessed with a supermodel figure fear wearing swim wear because they dread being looked at or laughed at. They practically feel more conscious most especially when women with great looking bodies flaunt them at the beach. For women out there who are afraid, don't be for here are some tips to give those who are slightly heavier some guidelines on buying swimwear that can give you a slimmer figure.
For women with a pear shape, try a skirted bottom to help give the illusion of smaller hips. You can also try a scooped bottom that can make your curvaceous hips less obvious. Create a proportionate look with a v-neck top or sport a dark colored bottom paired with a light colored bikini top.
Women with full thighs can help create the illusion of elongating them by wearing a bikini bottom or a one-piece suit with a high cut shape.
Create a smaller looking belly with swimsuits that have ruching or stylish folds that cover your tummy bulges. A one-piece bathing suit with sides having dark insets can give shape and contour to your waist. Try sporting a tankini as well which is a bikini with a tank top if you are conscious of your stomach. Opt for those in dark colors to give you a slimming effect. Nowadays, you can also find swimwear that have tummy control panels functioning like a girdle to give you a smaller looking stomach.
For women who are conscious of their large breasts, wearing a halter top gives you ample support. Avoid those types that offer a minimal amount of coverage or are flimsy like the strapless designs or triangle tops.
To generally achieve a slim look, go for swimsuits that are darker in color and those with diagonal or vertical stripe design. It is perfectly okay though not to shy away from suits with horizontal lines just as long as the stripes are perfectly fine and thin.
Feel great and confident, knowing that you look great in the swimsuit that you are wearing whatever your figure may be.
