They need to fit snugly but not too snug so that they will not slip on your feet during quick movements. I consider style last when I ma looking for a pair of quality basketball shoes because I could care less about what they look like. I am more concerned with the factors above. If they have everything I need and they are stylish then that's a bonus. It shouldn't be difficult to accomplish these days with the diverse choices available in basketball shoes alone.
