Fur also makes for a good material for making fashion boots however artificial fur is preferred due to the protests from animal lovers who object to the use or real fur. If fur is used it is important to buy shoes which are comfortable to wear without feeling wiry against the skin.

Other important factors to take into account with fashion boots include the length of the boots and their color. The length of the boots can be an important consideration. The length of boots can vary. Some boots may only have a high instep. Other boots may be that long that they come up to the knees. Knee high boots may appear sexy and groovy but ankle length boots

will always be more comfortable to wear. The length of the boot finally comes down to the taste of the wearer or buyer. The color of boots varies. Black boots remain the most popular, followed by brown boots. However boots can be many different colors including pink.

Boots have many different purposes apart from being a fashion item. Perhaps the most popular of uses is protection from the weather, especially rain. Gumboots are meant to protect against water penetration. Simple waterproof gumboots are made at different lengths. Thigh-boots are called waders, these are sometimes waist high, for example those used by some anglers. Sturdy boots are made for those who need protection in the wilderness or in an industrial setting. Most of these later boots are lace-ups. Specialty boots are made for a variety of reasons. Particular boots have been made for industrial workers, those who work in certain wilderness environments such as the Antarctic, sports such as football, soccer, riding, skiing, skating and boxing. However for general use the popular use of boots is to make a fashion statement.

A woman's fashion boots may have a number of variations. They may be flat or spiked heeled; they might have platform soles, pointed toes, zippered or some other variation such as knee high boots. What is the best seller for fashion boots will depend mainly on appearance rather than function.
