If you have ever had a brand new pair of boots you know that if you tried to wear them for a long time the first day without breaking them in they will probably make your feet hurt as well as possibly cause you blisters. If you have bought a pair of work boots in the past and you would be in them on your feet all day then you had to give them a break in period prior to wearing them for a full day of work. This is the reason why many of us will waited until our old boots are basically falling apart with hardly any sole left. I have worn work boots to the point that a hobo on the street wouldn't take them!

Having a pair of comfortable pair of boots and knowing that new boots are going to be uncomfortable for awhile is what prevents many of us from making the change and getting the new boots until our old ones are falling off. You do not have to go through a lot of pain and discomfort with the newer boots on the market now.

In the old days boots were made of very thick un-pliable leather that was of lower quality which is why work boots back then were extremely uncomfortable before they were broken in. Men had to settle for work boots that didn't fit properly and they were also quite expensive compared to how much a worker earned. Because of the boots being so expensive to the worker their first priority was having a pair of boots that would last and comfort was the last thing that was considered.

Fast forward to today and we see that we can buy a high quality pair of work boots for less than a day's pay and the advances in boot design with the use of synthetics have made work boots much more comfortable with enhanced flexibility and more range of movement possible. Due to the use of a combination of leather and synthetic materials along with the changed boot makers have made in boot design they are now much more comfortable and one hardly has to worry about breaking in a new pair of boots.

Over the years more and more companies have become involved in making work boots so there is a variety of brands to choose from with each having its own style and fit. Some boot makers have boots that are wide for those with really wide feet and then others may better suit someone with a high arch and a narrower foot. Due to all of the differences in sizes each manufacturer's size may fit differently so that a size 11 may not fit the same in all boots. With work boots having these differences in size it is crucial that you get the right one for your foot. If you shop online ne sure that the vendor has a good return policy incase you need to return them due to a bad fit.
