Ayurveda is an ancient lifestyle practice which aims to create harmony within the body. Practised widely in India, it works on the belief that all life forms have a "dosha" - a unique mix of energies known as "vata", "pitta" and "kapha", similar to the Western idea of elements - water, fire, earth, and so on. A person's dosha determines the kind of lifestyle that is balancing and healthy for them, including the sorts of food they should eat and the amount and type of exercise they should do.

Ayurveda covers a variety of techniques, from detoxification, diet and herbal prescriptions, to yoga, meditation and massage therapy. All are personalised to suit the individual's dosha.A favourite among celebrities, Ayurveda is a lifestyle made up of treatments, diet and exercise. The origin of Ayurveda, the ancient system of Indian medicine, is shrouded in Indian mythology and history. 'Ayu' is a Sanskrit word that means age and 'Veda', another Sanskrit word, means a treatise; Ayurveda is therefore a treatise on longevity

Ayurveda-literally "Science of Life"-is based on the twin principles of wholeness and balance. As a holistic healing tradition, Ayurveda recommends treating the "whole" person-body, mind, senses, emotions and spirit-instead of following the "one-cause-one-cure" principle and focusing on the symptoms of the moment.

Oxygen is essential to the health and maintenance of skin cells in the human body. With age, skin loses its ability to retain and utilize Oxygen for normal metabolic processes, such as repair and regeneration. When oxygen is lacking at the cellular level, our skin begins to age—sometimes prematurely. Facials with Oxygen help nourish and rejuvenate dull skin. 1) Like all living things, our skin needs oxygen to survive, reproduce and regenerate. In younger skin, this process is very efficient, but as we age, the micro capillaries degenerate and skin does not receive the nourishment it needs.
